The Division of Risk Management and Insurance Services is comprised of three branches: Benefits Administration, Integrated Disability Management, and Risk Finance and Insurance Services.
Benefits Administration
Benefits Administration administers comprehensive health and welfare benefit plans to eligible employees, retirees, and dependents. The range of coverage options include medical, medical opt-out/cash-back, prescription drug, dental, vision, life insurance, health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, and deferred compensation retirement plans.
Integrated Disability Management
Integrated Disability Management (IDM) is responsible for employee absence, disability management, and industrial injury related functions in the District. IDM is composed of two sections: Disability Management and Workers' Compensation. Each section has a unique role in promoting the return of injured, ill, or disabled employees to gainful employment.
Risk Finance and Insurance Services
Risk Finance and Insurance Services consists of the Insurance Compliance Unit (ICU), the Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP), and the Liability Claims Unit. Together, these units manage the District's insurance programs, ensure insurance compliance, administer construction project coverage, and oversee liability and property damage claims to protect the District's students, staff, property, and operations.
